- take advantage of offers of help or advice for acute crisis situations:

Psychological counseling centers, counseling centers for marital, family and life issues, psychosocial counseling centers, social psychiatric services. Since these facilities are not available at all times and appointments have to be made, they are only of limited help in acute crises.
